Founding board member of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on expanding the leadership potential of diverse young people through research, peer educational programs, and personalized leadership coaching. As a board member, I help oversee the programming, management, and strategic direction of the organization.

The ARC Justice Clinic provides legal support to community members in the Philadelphia region organizing to demand redress for racial subordination in areas including education, ending over-policing and mass incarceration, economic justice, and health justice. Students represent clients in litigation at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts and develop an integrated advocacy strategy that incorporates organizing, policy advocacy, strategic impact litigation, and communications.

NPAP's mission is to promote the accountability of law enforcement officers and their employers for violations of the Constitution and the laws of the United States. In my role, I contribute to NPAP's litigation, amicus advocacy, legislative efforts, and coordination of resources for member-attorneys who litigate police accountability cases across the country.

•Manage Priorities USA's coordination with 119 partners participating in the 2020 presidential election with a focus on paid media. •Coordinate $200M+ in paid media spending with dozens of partner organizations operating in battleground states to ensure complete coverage of the presidential map while minimizing overlaps in program plans.•Manage a $5M partnership focused on outreach to climate voters and a $4M partnership focused on outreach to Black voters.•Support the development and implementation of Priorities USA’s broader political strategy, plans and benchmarks, including field investment goals, in coordination with the Political Director.•Expand Priorities USA’s footprint and impact by building new relationships with national and local allies, as well as maintain and strengthen existing relationships.•Work collaboratively with other Priorities USA departments to share resources and manage workflow for national partnerships in service of the 2020 presidential election.•Support, mentor, and manage an intern for the political department.

Million Hoodies Movement for Justice is a national organization with over 50,000 members working to protect and empower young people of color from racial profiling and senseless gun violence through creative technology, strategic communications, and grassroots power building. Our organization seeks to build a safer and more racially tolerant America by transforming the public narrative on gun violence and racial profiling while providing the tools necessary for communities to protect themselves. I'm working on starting a chapter at American University, along with a peer of mine, David Curtiss. We act as Million Hoodies representatives on campus and in the DC area when appropriate and possible.

I work directly with staff to assist clients in shaping, maintaining and evolving their political presence in a digital technology market. In doing so, I use Revere Suite, Revolution Messaging’s client-facing applications, which includes online and mobile advertising, SMS, MMS, and legislative calling. I also assist in developing content for email and social media campaigns as well as client case studies and memos. By working with the digital strategies team, I use the tools necessary organize online in a fast-paced and evolving political environment.My past and present clients include: the March for Racial Justice; the People for Melvin Carter, an independent expenditure that helped elect Melvin Carter as the first African-American Mayor of St. Paul, MN; U.S. Congressman Beto O'Rourke's Senate campaign against Ted Cruz; U.S. Senator Kamala Harris; Power4PuertoRico, a coalition of organizations working to build lasting power in Puerto Rico; Daily Action; the Women's Heart Alliance; the NAACP; the Democratic National Committee; Win Back Your State; and 350.org.

The Undergraduate Senate is the voice and source of elected representation on American University's campus. The Senate passes legislation, writes the Student Government budget, and works to hold everyone within Student Government accountable to the student body. I served as a member of the Campus Life and Finance Committees.

American University Mock Trial competes against other college teams within the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). Each academic year, AMTA releases one criminal or civil case packet to every college team in the country. The case packet includes all the necessary materials to try the case in a simulated legal trial.Teams study the legal documents, the exhibits, and the witness affidavits in the case packet as they prepare to try the case for both the plaintiff and defense. AMTA tries to make their cases as balanced as possible, giving plenty of evidence for both the plaintiff and the defense to use. The art of mock trial is presenting the evidence in the most persuasive and realistic way possible in order to win points from the judges.Throughout the academic year, AUMT competes with other teams at mock trial tournaments. Typically a tournament brings in around twenty different teams who compete in four sets of trials over the course of a weekend. For each trial, our team is paired with another team from another school and we are assigned to try the case for either the plaintiff or the defense. The more points our team earns, the more ballots we win, and the better we place in tournaments. In the fall, we compete at invitational tournaments that are hosted by individual schools. In the spring, we compete in the nationally competitive, AMTA-sponsored tournaments, which ultimately result in the crowning of one mock trial team as the national champion.
