I am in charge of ensuring the specimens not analyzed on site are transported to LabCorp on time every day. Every morning before the clinic opens, I quality control every machine (Medonic, Piccolo CMP, Siemmens UA, and the Troponin). I use a software called LabTrak to transfer data and lab results between the analytical machines and eClinicalWorks (our electronic charting system). When the machines or software are having technical difficulties, I am able to troubleshoot the issues until they are solved. This role also gave me experience in drawing blood from 'lab visit only' patients. Additionally, I performed DOT physical examinations such as taking vitals, obtaining a personal history, and performing visual acuity tests to help the physician examine the patient. Show less
