As a graduate of Morgan State University, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. I have the ability to demonstrate my knowledge of the construction industry from my college learning experience. I know I can contribute to your business by showing my understanding of Submittals, RFI, construction documents and overall increase construction productivity. I am interested in seeking a full-time Field Engineer position. I want to work with the Superintendent and Project Engineer to solve every day problems and ultimately learn more about the business. I am mostly passionate about being onsite because I love seeing the project come together and learning about new things to further my understanding of the job. I also want to have a good relationship with all subcontractors onsite to build a strong partnership between GC and subcontractor. By building a bond with the Foreman and his workers, I hope to increase productivity and learn about problems as they arise. I believe by doing this, I can track the project’s sequence of activities to stay on the overall completion date. I know I can help solve problems and monitor the work that’s being done to keep the flow of work maintain. Eventually, I want to become a Superintendent because I want to plan to each project and be able to manage the job-site. I will do this by carefully examining each activity and hopefully think about everything such as problems/ activity duration to get the job done and always have a successful project. I believe that I gained enough experience from previous employers to maintain a full-time Field Engineer position at your company. I learned how to think critically on the job and how to read documents and solve problems. I also gained skills such as effective communication, time management and consistency to help with productivity for my field staff. By developing these skills, I’m able to complete various tasks given by an employer in a timely manner. I believe I can contribute to your business by using my skills to help employers solve problems that could hurt the flow of business.
