For the Belgian Federal Police, I work on the stabilisation and tuning of the plateform. - Extend the Backup software to SAN, NAS & Disks Backups - Create an archiving solution using WORM tapes - Adapt the block replication mechanism to make it more robustBeside I started the study of a Virtualization platform responding to the client needs. The technologies: RHEV, RHEVM, oVirt, KVM, IPA (Identity and Access Management), OpenNebula, GlusterFS.

Due to the end of the support contract of the HPUX machines, the client decide to migrate all the infrastructure to a new one based on Redhat Linux.I get in charge with the configuration of the future Redhat linux plateform and of the automated installation process (Anaconda).I study some open source backup solution and find the most suitable solution to the Police needs (Bacula). I get asked to design and implement the solutionAnd seen that I have experience in building high available solutions (HPUX), I get also asked to conduct the high availability solution for the new plateform (Redhat Cluster Suite).

Design a Redhat Linux Cluster platform for the Belgian Federal Police with the same functionalities as those implemented on HPUX.In parallel, I am in charge of the actual cluster configuration and assume the day-to-day maintenance & support of the 200 police sites.

For the Belgian Local Police, I participate to the study and implementation of open source technologies in the actual infrastructure. - Design the linux platform for the federal police (RedHat 5) - Establish a high level review of open source mail components - Design a compete new mailing system for the local police - Get responsible of the actual cluster configuration

For the Belgian Local Police, I participate to the development of a Delphi application. This give me the opportunity to aquire competences in Object Oriented programming using the MVC design pattern.

At the local police (ARP/PGR), I participate to the migration of applications from HPUX 9 servers to HPUX 11 servers - ksh & awk scripting - unix applications development - On site installations - Support for the transition plan, training, and maintenance.
