- Managed Beam Turkey from Jan'22 - Dec'22 - Managed Beam Indonesia from Sept'22 - present During these stints, my focus was on: - Leading Beam's launches in Turkey and Indonesia, this involved coordinating across all functions within Beam, hiring the local teams and ensuring all aspects of the business are ready for launch. - After launching these markets, my focus was to build up a strong local team and grow the business profitably.

- Owned Beam Malaysia's P&L, increased operating profitability metrics by ~40% through cost initiatives, dropped operating cost by ~50% (manpower and logistics optimization), and revenue growth initiatives (operating hours, scooter positioning, coverage area and marketing)

- 5x the size of Beam Malaysia's fleet - Expanded Beam's footprint to many more locations across Klang Valley - Kept Beam Malaysia running profitably during Malaysia’s 2021 6-month lockdown

- Crafted a B2B scooter rental model and successfully secured 2 clients - these were the first B2B deals close by Beam as a company- Lead and project managed a pilot project with the local Police force, the pilot scope expanded significantly as the Police found e-scooters to be extremely useful for patrolling during the Covid-19 period

- Worked with the team to identify the best way to operate the business in KL profitability, personally identified methods of lowering logistics cost by >40% and scooter recovery personnel cost by ~70%- Manage 2 major workstreams within KL operations, Fleet Inventory Management and Warehousing & Mechanics. This involved managing the local teams of on-ground staff and warehouse mechanics on the day-to-day processes and KPIs- Designed processes for day-to-day warehouse operations ensuring a low % percentage of damaged backlog vehicles- Successfully lowered lost/stolen scooters by 85% through a series of initiatives including an automated alarm system, processes for on-ground staff, and targeted efforts with the local Police force. This overall led to a change in KL's operating times, opening up more revenue while lowering cost to operate

- Project managed a pilot between Malaysia’s largest hospital chain and a startup on validating specialist telehealth offering to widen the current customer base. Key liaisons were the chain’s Head of Innovation and the startup’s Co-founders- Identified impact of emerging startups in PropertyTech and ConstructionTech on industry incumbents, based on analysis startup funding trends and their business models. The team was then able to develop a portfolio of initiatives for the client to incorporate new technology as well as begin future-proofing their business model- Assisted in developing an innovation strategy for Malaysia’s second-largest bank to effectively serve and grow market share of the local SME loan market through Fintech collaborations- Shortlisted and conducted due diligence with startup founders to identify a suitable startup partner to run a pilot with a bank from a list of 170 global Fintechs - Scouted, vetted and shortlisted 11 from over 260 startups to participate in Facebook's Startup Station Singapore accelerator- Worked with the KL team to develop and validate an internal sales and marketing function to serve the Singaporean market

- Selected as into Digi’s first batch of 9 Apprentices from a pool of 900 candidates to work with and shadow the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer- Participated in the strategy building process, aligning plans across Digi to the overarching strategy of Telenor Group (the parent company)- Successfully identified RM26mil in revenue by conducting and facilitating brainstorming workshops, execution follow-ups and success tracking on new ideas and initiatives involving segment-specific products, alternate distribution channels, customer satisfaction, and data analysis on customer behavior for customized offerings, that reported monthly to a steering committee with top management- Won RM10k funding in an internal hackathon to prototype a Facial Recognition application with sufficient testing and customer validation in 8 weeks before pitching idea to top management- Conducted analysis on the Malaysian Budget 2017 impact to Digi. Proposed actions on the opportunities for Digi were presented to top management for consideration

The 2 month internship consisted of rotations across various team to give me a good perspective of how a Rocket Internet venture operates. The specific venture was EasyTaxi, taxi hailing mobile application. Rotations included: - Week 1: Taxi Driver Acquisition - Week 2: Taxi Driver Acquisition Team Leader- Week 3: Customer Service- Week 4: Driver Fraud Detection - Week 5: Campaign launch in different states in Malaysia- Week 6: Employer branding and recruitment, Easy Taxi Pro(Setup and Customer Education)- Week 7: Easy Taxi Corporate sales - cold calls and meeting prospective clients- Week 8: Easy Taxi Corporate sales - successfully closed 1 client
