About Olivia Devries

Originally from Aurora, Illinois, I just graduated with high distinction at Indiana University - Bloomington. I majored in Public Relations with specializations in communications and sports media through The Media School, and minored in Marketing through the Kelley School of Business. One major highlight for me was studying abroad in Florence, Italy for 14 weeks last year.Writing and media relations are two core strengths that have always come naturally to me; these skills have driven me to hold many leadership positions in and outside of my professional career. Most notably, I am coming off a 13-week internship with All Points Public Relations, a PR agency specializing in franchise development. I was treated as an associate and mastered skills like media list creation, press release writing, press outreach, client communication, content marketing, digital work, and much more. I enjoyed the agency experience so much that I will continue working in the same environment this coming June, specifically with Zeno Group supporting the Coca-Cola team in Chicago. Outside of my professional development, I grew up singing and playing sports for fun. In college, I helped to student-lead a singing group, Ladies First A Cappella, in a multitude of ways, such as managing social media channels, budgeting finances, planning performance opportunities, and connecting with our alumni. Additionally, I am very outgoing and extroverted. As a campus job, I worked as a student ambassador, giving tours weekly to prospective students and their families and acting as a representative of the university.I am excited for post-graduation life and look forward to diving into the PR industry, officially. Go Hoosiers!
