Since childhood, I've harboured a deep fascination for cities. Like many other children I used to enjoy crafting imaginary cities with pillows and toy cars and sculpting mud models in coconut shells and trowels. During the school lessons on history, I was deeply intrigued by the rich town planning of Indus Valley Civilization. My diverse interests in geography, biology, physics, sociology, and history, led me to spatial planning—an arena where I could apply my multidisciplinary knowledge to forge a brighter, sustainable future.Through my artistic endeavours and projects, I unknowingly embraced the concept of 'systems thinking,' a crucial skill for planners. Collaborating with my friend Sahilar, we developed a prototype for a solar charger and power bank, supported by the National Innovation Foundation of India. I had the opportunity of presenting my concept of Integrated Freight Terminal & Automated Freight Management System at the 19th World Conference on Transport Research at IIT Bombay in 2019. This greatly expanded my understanding of transportation systems and later propelled me to pursue an undergraduate degree in physical planning at the School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal. I'm actively engaged in exploring themes such as Sustainable Mobility, Equity in Transport, Urban Redevelopment & Historic Landscapes, Planning Theory & Food Inclusive Cities.
