I am the founder and CEO of Unknot.id, a pioneering AI startup transforming mobile tracking and tracing for both humans and assets, prioritizing privacy preservation. Leveraging COTS sensors, we extract valuable insights from diverse data streams, including location, context, and identity, employing cutting-edge AI. Our solutions span from indoor navigation and fraud detection to enhancing elderly healthcare, always prioritizing privacy and scalable learning. I am committed to harnessing the power of COTS intelligence to tackle contemporary and future challenges.Before embarking on the Unknot.id journey, I headed Research and Innovation, pioneering frictionless security and privacy at United Technologies (now Raytheon Technologies). With a versatile background spanning Principal Investigator, Cyber Security Advisor, and Thought Leader roles, I’ve advised C-suite executives on cutting-edge cyber security technologies, innovating, developing and executing technical roadmaps while spearheading data-driven “frictionless” solutions. Co-founding the Security and Privacy group, I led multi-million-dollar AI initiatives for top R&D agencies including DARPA, DOE, DHS, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and mentoring emerging talent in the field.I spearheaded groundbreaking AI initiatives across various verticals such as: Venturing into collaboration with top medical experts from Harvard medical school, Brigham Women’s Hospital, Univ of Rochester to pioneer mobile-based Digital Phenotyping for seamless detection of TBIs and diseases (DARPA);Pioneering a revolutionary frictionless mobile access control system, harnessing human behavioral patterns instead of passwords (DHS S&T);Creation of self-healing smart Distributed Energy Resources and critical systems infrastructure, leveraging readily available energy and market signals to prevent and correct anomalous behaviors in partnership with UIUC (DOE);Innovating intelligent mobile apps to detect stealthy malwares, tapping into static, dynamic, and meta-data features of mobile applications alongside IBM (DHS S&T);Pioneering the frontier of deepfake and bot detection by innovating with audio sensors to replace traditional CAPTCHA or puzzles in collaboration with John Hopkins University (NSF).I have a PhD with highest academic achievement award and MS in Computer Engineering, with multiple specializations in AI & Statistics. My accolades range from recipient of multiple technical excellence awards, Women of Innovation, Outstanding Achievement Awards to Research Fellowships.
