My name is Devyn Payne, from a small town in the most southeastern part of Missouri. I grew up in a small town of around 600 people. My entire life surrounded by people I knew. The community was held down by poverty and I knew to be successful I needed to leave and further my education.I attended one year of junior college, then transferred to Missouri State. I became president of my fraternity shortly after and began my love of business. I still am attending Missouri State due to school being put on the back burner for work. I am currently working full time with Sherwin Williams through a couple classes per semester.I started my career with Sherwin Williams in 2013 as a part time associate and worked my way through school. The company gave me the opportunity to continue my career with them, and I have stuck with Sherwin Williams. They have taught me many things. The two main ones that continue to make me successful are the ones that I have deep down in my core. The biggest thing is team involvement, we spend a majority of our lives with our coworkers, and whenever we involve them as a team, it makes our lives easier and more fun. The second piece lies within selflessness, the most true piece of anyone’s success is their willingness to go over and beyond for anyone, to help them succeed.
