As an Internship Coach at Portland OIC, I provided career coaching and mentoring services to young adults, guiding them toward employment readiness and success in their chosen industries. I facilitated individualized coaching sessions, offering support in resume writing, interview preparation, and goal-setting. My role involved partnering with participants and community partners to identify career interests and opportunities while teaching essential workplace skills through hands-on training in programs such as the Chef Academy. I worked closely with local employers to create internship and job placement opportunities, ensuring participants gained valuable real-world experience in a supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:•Delivered one-on-one and group career coaching, focusing on skill development and job readiness.•Assisted participants in developing professional portfolios, resumes, and interviewing techniques.•Connected participants with local internships and job placements in industries such as culinary arts.•Provided ongoing mentorship and follow-up support to ensure long-term career success.
