The scope of my work has broadened and I now lead an inter-agency team within the Data and Information Provision & Technology unit - coordinating efforts for two ministries.I help to ensure proper alignment exists between strategy and policy on one hand, and implementation and execution on the other, all within the context of the Dutch Armed Forces and NATO.I am a member of the management team for this unit and, together with the other members, strive to redefine what data-driven processes, practices and services mean for us.

Architect / business consultant for Zwitserleven, a life insurance/pensions company. Back again to a company that actually sells something (in stead of mere licensing). Most of the time I work on the analysis of and consultancy on process improvements, products and integration.The company has merged with SNS REAAL and as of 1-1-2010 I'm officially employed by the new company.

Solution Architect for the Oracle Consulting Service Oriented Division (OC-SOD, no pun intended). I engage in pre-sales consulting tasks; trying to help customers put their acquired Oracle products to good use. There is a difference with 'regular' pre-sales here: pre-sales consulting is about customer relations, so no "hit and run" tactics here!

Consultant for the TECH division of Oracle Consulting. Engaging in long-term projects (well, long-term for the consulting business, that is) to deliver IT-systems. Oracle Consulting, so always some Oracle technology in there, somewhere.

Rabobank changed their way of doing CRM drastically and Oracle was their (consulting) partner in achieving this. During the start-up of this project and continuing untill it was long up and running, I performed the role of lead consultant. Again being a liaison. This time between Rabobank and the Oracle Product Development, based in San Francisco, USA.

eLuminos is a group of experienced IT-consultants that design and implement complex IT-solutions for larger companies and non-profit organisations.As one of the co-founders, I learned a lot about doing business and what makes projects tick (and I don't mean the timebomb kind ;) ). The three of us survived during the collapse of the IT-hype here and then, after making our mark as survivors, decided to call it quits.

This Romania based bank required a major overhaul of their banking system and related processes.Functioning as a liaison between the Romanian and Dutch teams, I spent most my time on-site in Bucharest. I engaged both the business and the IT departments in order to even the path forward. No causality has been proven yet but shortly after finalization of this project (and now running cost-efficient processes); BCR was acquired by Erste Bank :)

The start of my career. Large-scale financial company, so I learned a lot about processes, control and repeatability here. Also learned the financial lingo, which made me gravitate toward projects in the financial sector later on.
