Using the banks custom java framework my focus was to develop functionality for the home loans environment which would be available to customers via the FNB banking app and Online banking.This would mean developing the front-end flow for home loan product offerings using the bank wide custom framework, doing the integration between the front-end and backend services as well as developing and maintaining a range of microservices using the Restful or SOAP protocol to support the business cases.These product offerings include the following: • Home Loan application functionality for customer applying for mortgage finance • Calculators for customers to calculate repayments and affordability • Property listing functionality for customers or agents selling a property • Property and Area value estimate reports to assist customers to make an informed decision • Pre-approval certificate issued to customer following the qualifying and scoring processOther initiatives: • Developing Dynamic View Builder which has the functionality to allow business users to design their own screens using the FNB App, this allowed for initiatives like: Surveys, service delivery feedback, marketing content and Covid19 Cashflow Relief • Creating a Restful Property Information Service that exposes functionality to search and verify property and owner information using spatial data sets • Assisted with business requirements for Property Leader Website by mapping out customer journey and business processes • Assisting in the development of Property Barometer Reports which provide customers with area and property insights by developing the SQL stored procedures used within the Restful Services. • Attending to production incidents and applying the necessary fixes into our Software Development Life CycleAchievements:FNB Innovations Winner: • Property Leader • Cashflow Relief Design and BuildFNB Innovations Finalist: • Property Barometer Website • Dynamic View Builder
