CurrentMy duties include:• API development: Development and management of REST and GraphQL APIs through the SDLC• API integration: Integrating APIs by using queues and event-driven architectures. Setting up and operating of networking infrastructure such as load balancers, API gateways, proxies, reverse proxies, private network connections between AWS accounts and on-prem. Hoisting shared functionality such as authentication, rate-limiting, circuit breakers, etc., out of APIs and into an API gateway so it can be leveraged by all APIs• Automating build, test and release processes using a variety of CI/CD tools. Improve team workflows with automation to decrease lead time and time to market• Coaching and leading teams as well as mentoring individuals• Presenting, contributing to and organizing a multitude of training initiatives• Migration of applications from on-premise and within AWS, including re-architecting applications to be cloud-native and get the most value from being in the cloud• Driving initiatives to increase observability of applications• Native iOS and Android app development• Contributing to open source projects and promoting an innersource culture• Ensuring that applications are recorded in the CMDB and are mapped to business functions so that impact to the systems can be translated to business impact. Ensure the team is following the correct change, incident and problem management processes.• Promoting SecOps best practices by rolling out tooling and automating the assessment of application and infrastructure source code to ensure adherence to organizational governance and compliance standards• Assist teams with debugging issues in complex, and sometimes unknown, environments• Performing technical audits: Meet with teams to walk through their cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes to identify opportunities for increasing DevOps and software engineering maturity
