It's been quite a journey over the past 7 years with Smartbeat. I took on various roles within the company. Starting as a Medial Assistant/Phlebotomist then transitioned into a Patient Coordinator role while continuing my other duties. Eventually finding myself at the corporate office working on scheduling, insurance verification, and pre authorizations.I immediately adapted to the changing circumstances when the doctor retired from the Denton location and sold his practice. This allowed me to utilize my skills in a different capacity by creating my position as a Remote Patient Coordinator at the corporate office in 2019 and from home due to the pandemic. This position played a pivotal role in the restructing of the day to day operations. Which had a positive impact for reducing overhead cost by streamlining these processes and expanding the company reach beyond a single clinic.This change allowed a more efficient way to benefit multiple Clients across Texas & Oklahoma. I tackled multiple clinics by creating reports of potential candidates, scheduling patient's appointments, verifying benefits, obtaining pre-authorization, confirming appointments and advised patients of their benefits & financial responsibility. With my insight, I interviewed, mentored and trained new employees. I’ve traveled throughout the DFW area building rapport with our referring physician and staff to amplify productivity and maintaining a great working relationships. My ability to adjust to the changes permitted me to create a valuable position. This demonstrates my initiative and value to the organization. As the company evolves I am willing to learn the latest developments to advance my professional growth.
