Execute support for 200+ HPE ProLiant and Itanium servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, ESXi, HP-UX. Install, support, and optimize the performance of servers, operating systems, development software, and system management software. Maintain all RHEL and HP-UX golden images. Manage Compiler, OS, and FW patch levels. Update and develop documentation, user guides, and installation directions. Set-up and maintain the backup server using the Micro Focus Data Protector product.

Develop and implement test plans for system level testing of HPE servers and system products, leading a team of test engineers in daily testing activities. Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to solve issues with the system Organize and delegate support for critical issues found with the system under test. Key Contributions:• Spearheaded recipe work for HPE Synergy product for past 2 years, determining the proper order and the version of all FW/SW bits to install, ensuring non-bricked systems, resulting in saving several hundred controllers and server blades.• Key team member in the performance characterization of HP SuperDome2, SuperDone X, and Synergy product hardware and firmware.• Developed software installation automation techniques and processes, resulting in time savings for department and end-users worldwide.• Created power measurement facility utilizing an external power meter and specific procedures allowing the sales team to establish benchmarks for customers.

Executed support for multiple servers and clusters, including Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft HPC Clustering, HP server architectures (x86, Itanium, and PA-RISC) for every HP server model in multiple operating environments, including Linux, HP-UX, and Windows Server. Installed, supported, and optimized the performance of servers, operating systems, development software, and system management software for use in application development and benchmarking in HPC markets. Gathered and evaluated customer requirements and created technical specifications. Maintained all HP-UX golden images. Managed Compiler, OS, and FW patch levels. Created and maintained large high performance disk stripes using LVM and VXVM. Updated and developed documentation, user guides, and install directions.
