Cognitive Diligence, LLC is an IT services firm that focuses primarily on the merger and acquisition middle market. Its services include M&A IT due diligence, post-transaction IT integration planning, M&A IT Due Diligence and Integration Training, and project management. It also offers "The IT Professional's Merger and Acquisition Handbook" and the M&A IT Due Diligence Toolkit.

MacGrath Partners provided business analysis consulting, business analysis training and M&A IT due diligence and integration services. Consulting responsibilities included documenting business requirements, evaluating IT infrastructures, recommending IT integration approaches and architectures, and delivering business analysis training. Clients included financial, insurance, health care, distribution, manufacturing, and retail firms.

Major responsibilities included re-aligning the information technology platforms with the business model and extending the supply chain to include all trading partners. Accomplishments included re-defining the IT architecture, improving critical business processes, documenting business rules, and integrating the architecture components. Technology platforms included Ariba Commerce Center/Market Place, WebLogic, Oracle, Solaris, J. D. Edwards, Intershop, and CyberCash.

Major projects that I directed included e-business strategy, technology strategy, and IT architecture for a public utility “trading hub” that supported both B2B and B2C commerce models, a B2B auction site for the fresh flowers industry, and a B2C development project for a national distributor of auto parts.

Formerly BSG Alliance IT, Impact Innovations Group was ultimately acquired by Covansys. Responsible for overall e-business technology and marketing strategy, business development, project staffing, project management, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Some major projects included planning, staffing, facilitating the requirements gathering, documenting business requirements, designing the business processes, and developing a web-based IT strategy for an electric utility consortium, managing the development of a web-based supply chain for a major distributor of wholesale tobacco, and designing a web-based e-business strategy for a wireless communications company. BSG Alliance IT was acquired by Per Se Technologies which was subsequently acquired by an off-shore IT sourcing firm.

Responsibilities included business development, profitability, staffing, organizing, and leading IT consulting engagements. Major projects I led included re-engineering a major health care program for the Georgia Department of Public Health, designing an e-commerce architecture for the order process at a major telecommunications company, and designing an Internet-based, statewide immunization tracking system for the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The Orkand Corporation was the primary provider of contract IT services to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 1992-95. Responsibilities included facilitating the analysis and collection of project requirements, preparing project plans, staffing, and managing multiple software development teams. Major projects included designing, developing, and managing the implementation of the CDC’s first enterprise-wide medical surveillance system for the agency’s 4,000+ employees, and designing, developing, and managing the implementation of an agency-wide health and safety intranet. The Orkand Corporation was subsequently acquired by the Harris Corporation.

Responsible for sales support, local customer support, and customer training for the entire hardware and software product-line. Successfully managed several large-scale system, software conversation, and network implementation projects and helped grow the installed base of Wang systems from zero to over 20 large installations across the State of Florida government market. Promoted to Region Technical Marketing Manager in 1987, my responsibilities included the role of liaison with R&D during the PC product design process and technical marketing manager for all PC and local area networking products throughout an 11-state southeast region.
