Over 33 years practical work experience in the fields of engineering geology and hydrogeology. Conducted 215 pump tests and secured consents to take groundwater totaling 16,779,977 cubic metres per year for a variety of purposes. Work experience includes opencast mine feasibility studies (Ohinewai, Golden Cross and Macraes Flat), tunneling (Victoria Park, Waterview), slope stabilization , mine de-watering, groundwater resource studies, regional modeling, resource consent applications and presenting expert evidence at hearings. Proven technical experience in hydrogeological assessments at all scales.Strong conceptual hydrogeological skills.Proven skills in design and construction of piezometers and other instrumentation.Experienced in design, supervision and interpretation of packer tests.Strong in production bore design, construction and development skills.Experience with down hole geophysical logging interpretation.Wide experience with the design, performance, supervision and interpretation of pumping tests and slug tests.Experienced with contractor co-ordination and supervision.Groundwater sampling using submersible pumps, inertial pumps and low flow techniques.
