I received an offer for this role due to the dissolution of my previous employer, Business Lending Group, which Verve was a part owner of. In my role at Verve, I will be doing similar work to my previous position with the addition of a few others. I will still perform valuations on a number of different commercial and residential properties. I operate within the commercial loan department at Verve. i will handle all bidding and ordering of appraisals, as well as aid in the review and approval process. I will also continue to provide evaluations as an additional tool in verifying the value of certain properties.

I have taken on a number of role's since I started working at Dick's. Most recently I became a key carrying lead, which allows me to act as the store manager. This includes opening and closing the store, delegating tasks to teammates, and executing store tasks. I am also the Overall Satisfaction Captain, which puts me in charge of our customer service surveys. Coaching and motivating associates to provide highly satisfying service is my main focus in this position. My main area of expertise in the store is the footwear department, but I have gained knowledge in all areas of the store and am able to provide service to customers anywhere.

A new department was created to consolidate our appraisal services and I was made the head of that department. We handle all bidding and ordering of appraisals, as well as provide reviews of each appraisal to our partner credit unions. The addition of internal evaluations was created to provide an additional tool in verifying the value of certain properties.

I have developed a lot since starting my role as a commercial underwriter at BLG and have taken on a number of different responsibilities. My favorite is reviewing real estate appraisals for accuracy and sensible valuations. I have also taken on the role of preparing loan closing documents making me one of the last checkpoints for a loan before the borrower is granted capital. I have also learned about determining the credit worthiness of potential borrowers and am involved in the process of pulling credit reports and other important information to determine risk. I use excel most of my day in this position to prepare appraisal reviews and credit presentations and I have developed improvements on current templates.
