Dexter Arbotante is a dedicated professional with over 14 years of experiences in nursing, healthcare quality, risk management, patient safety, and legal nurse consulting. Dexter offers expertise in a broad spectrum of topics in healthcare regulations, advancements, and risk mitigation. Dexter obtained his Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from William Paterson University, his Masters of Science in Jurisprudence (MSJ) law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and his certification as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Dexter has presented on topics of patient safety, risk management, and performance improvements. He has served in various leadership roles including Administrative Manager, Director of Risk Management, Director of Patient Safety, and Safety Officer. He currently serves as the Director of Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Management for AltaMed Health Services, one of the nation’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Dexter is a member of the American Society for Health Care Risk Management and the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management where he serves on both the Education and Communications Committee. Dexter’s passion is leading organizations to deliver better and safer care for all patients especially those who are underserved.
