Organize and delegate activities as required for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the department including active participation with other hospital and leadership staff to accomplish this objective. Develop and oversees the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards that direct department operations as required for service, verify that standards are consistent with regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements. Actively incorporate measures to obtain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements. Identify and utilize processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to leadership team and staff.PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT SAFETY MANAGER - Overall responsibility for planning, implementation and management of regulatory compliance with Environment of Care Program Management. Plan and organize the broad range of activities, processes, and procedures required to meet the regulatory requirements of the hospital. Performs all duties/responsibilities of the Safety Officer and acts upon any conditions, which pose an immediate threat to life or health, or pose a threat of damage to equipment or buildings. Assures, coordinates, and participates in the implementation of the environment of care management plans: safety, security, hazardous materials and waste, decontamination and emergency preparedness, life safety, medical equipment, and utility systems.Promote the professional image in demeanor, appearance, attitude and behaviors. Establish collegial relationships with physicians, unit personnel and administration. Integrate team building strategies and principles of group process in iteration with staff. Prepare and manage the operating and capital budgets for the department in collaboration with the department management and staff, determine the appropriate number and level of staff, balancing competency, patient needs, patient outcomes, patient safety outcomes and productivity guidelines.

Installs and maintains high-speed, industrial process equipment for can and/or end making: power, lighting, control, and logic circuits for all production process and support equipment.Installs all electrical segments in such equipment as gas mixers, burners, de-ionized water units, air compressors, plant air circulation systems, cooling and heating units, ultra sonic cleaners, waxers, and plant lighting.Troubleshoots, adjusts, and repairs all electrical equipment, solid state circuits, circuit boards, components, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, and complex timing and inspection devices.Performs preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems and equipment.Identifies inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinates through supervisor to resolve.Programs logic controls for proper equipment operation.Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer.Determines all supplies and tools needed for each assignment.assisted in the design, experimentation, and/or installation of all new plant equipment or electrical production procedures.Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.
