About Dexter Ingram

As the Director of the Office of Countering Violent Extremism (CT/CVE) at the U.S. Department of State, I lead the development and implementation of policies and programs to prevent and counter violent extremism around the world. I have over 25 years of experience in counterterrorism, CVE, and WMD, with assignments in Afghanistan, France, and various bureaus within the State Department. I also served on long-term secondments to the FBI, DHS, and INTERPOL.I am the founder of IN Network, a nonprofit that guides young minds towards fulfilling careers in national security. Through my involvement on the boards of the International Spy Museum, the Sycamore Institute, Globally, NCITE, and CISA, I actively work to integrate educational initiatives that foster a deep understanding of national security challenges and inspire the next generation of leaders. I am a frequent media commentator and speaker on national security issues, and I have been honored by the Diversity in National Security Network, Homeland Security Today, and the International CT Fellowship program. My mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of national security leaders.
