Hemraj Industries Pvt. Ltd is a renowned manufacturer of Rice Bran oil and Kattle feed. Its turn over is about 900 crores. and one of the best exporter of kattle feed in India. As an Engineering Head is responsible for looking after the entire engineering activities and project work in three factories in West Bengal. Heading a very good engineering team looking after Engineering budget, cost control, administration activities, Training etc.

Responsible for procurement of engineering items as per requirements, co-ordination & execution of project on time, and logistics.

• Acted as a Head of Engineering and responsible for all maintenance and engineering activities in plant. Dealt with a high profile maintenance team and sophisticated injection moulding machines, HDPE pipe Extrusion machines, Automatic HDPE welding machines, and utility equipments. Responsible for project planning and execution in plant. Also acted as Head of Project execution doing planning of project and executing the same as per plan.• Responsible for maintaining and adhering to safety standards, ISO 9001. Acted as ISO internal auditor, Head of the TQM team. Achievement:- Successfully installed and commissioned 600 KG/Hr HDPE extrusion plant, revamping and converting of a scrap HDPE extrusion machine to an Automatic Granulating machine. This saved Rs. 1 million per annum.

• Responsible for reporting to the Director and was responsible for all activities in workshop. Looked after the production planning, its execution and to meet the planning. Was responsible for all maintenance activities and IR related issues in factory.

• Reporting to the Works Manager, responsible for co-ordinating and facilitatingall engineering activities related to maintenance , de-bottlenecking and project work of the plant. Dealt with PVC extrusion machine, Vacuum forming machine, CNC drilling center, Tube finning machine, Compressors, DG set etc. Apart from these was acting as team leader for implementing TPM in maintenance area of plant.

• Reported to the Vice President(works). Responsible for coordinating and facilitating all engineering activities related to de-bottlenecking and project work of the plant. Responsible for making and maintaining project and maintenance budget, third party handling, making tender spec., checking bills, making monthly production reports.Achievement:- Successfully completed the targeted project work during 2007 – 08. Installed and commissioned 50T weigh Bridge, 15M3 Slurry circulation system. Hard Waste grinding plant(Capacity:-300Kg/Hr).

• Acting as departmental head of maintenance department, controlled activities of both extra and general shift of engineering team, controlled activities of regular production in absence of shift personnel as per preset production planning. Responsible for preparation & execution of maintenance schedule, ensured plant uptime through effective proactive maintenance, interaction on a daily basis with production team for better service to plant.• Responsible for flow of resource to engineering dept., spares procurement, enquiry floating, vendor development and selection, tendering, negotiation & freezing of technical and commercial parameters, stores inventory control, control of fixed and variable assets.• Strict adherence to safety standards, namely ISO 9001. Acted as ISO internal auditor, member of the TQM team. Was responsible for implementation of ICI Group Engineering Procedures (GEP) which deals with complete guidelines of installation, monitoring, and maintenance of hardware. Was also responsible for Cost estimation, Preparation of capital expenditure proposals projectexecution. • Responsible to introduce new systems like TPM, use of computer software for improving plant availability at optimum cost.
