Works with Fostering Future population using community connections to provide local employer listings, resources and contacts in career/job training, apprentice programs, vocational avenues and certificate programs, resume writing and interviewing workshops, and providing one on one support with each Fostering Future Youth and facilitating small group. Creating long term relationships with those community connections. Communicate with Fostering Futures social workers and maintains updated data on all young adults. Guide youth through the workforce field by allowing them to see their strengths and potential. Plan and implement events for Fostering Future youth to ensure they have access to employment and educational opportunities. Helping them on their path to transitioning to adult life.

Employs appropriate communication skills while engaging with colleagues, social workers, and foster youth and families. Managed Boy’s Youth Group, plan engaging events for the agency’s Boy’s Youth Group and reaching out regarding events and programs. Demonstrate appropriate documentation while recording youth personal information. Make connections and collaborate with community and organizations to locate and obtain various needed resources for the foster youth within care and transitioning out of care. Records, organizes, and distributes donated resources within the agency. I also received supervision from Virginia Beach Department of Social Services, Foster Care department during my time at Connect With A Wish. Supervision was provided by Rosalind Gains and Jennifer Bond which consisted of many informational seminars via virtual. The seminar speakers were Foster Care worker, Adoption supervisor, CPS worker, and the state attorney informing me and my colleague on their positions and their day-to-day duties. Conducting Q & A after each session.

My responsibilities consisted of opening the club up every morning on time for youth arrival at 7am, prepare and serve breakfast, assist with virtual learning during school times, provide and prepare activities for youth ages 6-12, and handling a ratio 1:18. Engaged with youth in games, activities, health and wellness, and self-care.

My customer service responsibilities were to take inbound calls and assist customers with questions and concerns. Solve the problem within a timely manner and note accounts. As well send emails and letters out to customers who request them and do outbound calls on the weekend. My collections position included being an account manager, managing over hundreds of accounts at a time, collecting payments, keep track of accounts, log payments, set up arrangements with customers, take inbound calls, make outbound calls, and send out emails to customers.
