I'm an experienced and enthusiastic researcher interested in the fields of neuroscience and technology with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health sector.I developed a broad understanding of the human body and brain throughout my Bachelor's and pursued a Master's degree from Imperial College London where I deepened my understanding of the pathogenesis and current state of neurological medicine of Neurodegenerative disorders.I subsequently gained admission to a PhD program funded by the UKRI-BBSRC where my project is centred around understanding the morphology and function of a specialised class of neurons, called "interneurons", which are involved in the processing of sensory information from the outside world.I've presented my work at various international and national conferences, and we've recently published in the Journal of Neuroscience (Brock et al 2022), with another manuscript in the review process (Djama et al 2023).Using my expertise in Neuroscience, I've worked with start-ups in an advisory role and my capacity as a research scientist to better inform conceptual roadblocks in the field of Machine Learning.
