As the Hospital Safety Director & Hospital Safety Officer, I develop, implement and enforce occupational safety and environmental health policies and procedures consistent with hospital objectives and the requirements of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies; licensing agencies; accrediting and certifying organizations; and professional standards at Beaumont Health. As the chair of the Hospital's Safety Committee, I assure continuous improvement with our performance in health and safety innovation while maintaining compliance and providing technical expertise and strategic leadership and support for all of Beaumont Royal Oak's facilities. I am responsible for the development and implementation of management plans and programs for managing the Environment of Care. I ensure quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of the regulations . I conduct audits as part of a multifaceted team of the employee health and safety programs to identify and aid in the prevention of unsafe working conditions and practices and make recommendations to the Directors/Supervisors on the results of such inspections.
