Running a team of Project Managers in a matrix managed environment implementing a new server Farm (infrastructure and associated service management), and the main Oracle servers on Sun Unix with full redundancy and failover to be used by 24,000 employees throughout the UK, with 4,000 concurrent users. £5m project

Project managed the implementation of a Web Content Management system based on Documentum, designed to support 1000 users managing content on 150 Internet and Intranet websites. 3-tier architecture with front-end application used by 1000 users. The system used Oracle 10g and Websphere 5, and we used Agile RAD methodology used on all website developments.Developed business case, gained approval from senior managers and led the communications and benefits realisation work stream for a large, global Programme consolidating information from 43 source systems into a distributed directory. This project used the Prince 2 Management methodology.

At GemDAX the team I managed implemented an Internet Electronic Marketplace linking the supply chain systems of the world’s major diamond manufacturers to allow electronic trading, invoicing and vendor managed inventory.
