• Liaison between clients, advisory board, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, staff, and funding agencies such as the Economic Development Administration (EDA), State Department, State of Texas and City of Corpus Christi, to enhance collaboration to build the startup community in our region. • Managed a 35,000 square foot facility with 35 offices for client companies, co-working space, 3D printer, coffee shop, and home for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle test site under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). • Guided and motivated a team of full time employees, graduate assistants, and interns.• Nurtured economic development by mentoring and coaching clients in the Coastal Bend with innovative solutions to real issues.Key accomplishments:• Assisted more than 130 companies from September 2009 to July 2016.• Developed and implemented program service model that has been replicated in two other business incubators. • Secured over $800,000 of funding per year through State, Federal, and incentive programs. • Facilitated the creation and managed the South Coast Angel Network (SCAN)-member of the Alliance of Texas Angel Networks with over 30 angel investors that have invested over $900,000 in the first year of operations• Expanded soft-landing program by leading the “Idea” Incubator Program to provide 14 days of advanced manufacturing training and international trade workshops for Pacific Alliance countries (Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Chile) in Corpus Christi, sponsored by the U.S. State Department. • Assisted with development for “Weather on Wheels” application and “Cartofusion” mapping company as the first two commercialization efforts from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
