I am a startup enthusiast with over a decade of experience in fast-paced, high-growth companies and custom solution development. As both a manager and individual contributor, I have a track record of designing and implementing novel solutions to challenging business problems.I recently left a Boston-area fintech startup where I lead product and application engineering for four years. Major accomplishments in that role include the design and testing of risk mitigation and fraud protection algorithms, the design and implementation management of a dynamic, low-code web form engine, and managing major rewrites of multiple pieces of core application business logic to address rapidly-changing market needs.Before that, I managed an engineering team at a Cambridge startup incubator, building large-scale business intelligence tooling and high performance javascript analytics, and moved from there into building real-time web and email engagement systems for another startup.I began my career as an orchestral oboist, with undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance from Florida State University, and I spent a year as a Mancini Doctoral Fellow at the University of Miami.
