Project Managed major transport corridors (Quality Bus Corridors - QBCs) up to £5m in Leicester. Main activities included the following:>Preparing Project Initiation Documentation >Organising various traffic surveys >Preparing and executing Stakeholder Management Plan - by carrying out stakeholder consultations – this included internal and external stakeholders, including funders and political Members as well as Emergency Services and the citizens. The execution included live radio interview, timely press releases, dealing with tenants including their relocation, public exhibitions, public meetings, illustrative live traffic modelling, current traffic movements on video display; advertising in local newspaper and magazines; designing and distributing leaflets and letters and face-to-face site meetings>Organising and chairing project management team and managing various cross-functional work streams> Managing design and safety audit processes >Designing and advertising Traffic Regulation Orders and managing objections >Preparing and presenting reports to the Project Board / Lead Political Member >Managing contract award process; managing construction stages, defects liability period and monitoring.The QBCs main features included: • Bus lanes, bus stops and shelters; and level access • Traffic Regulation Orders - bus lanes, pedestrian crossings, parking restrictions and prohibition of movements• Junction improvements, including signals & SCOOT • Walking & cycling facilities, links to National Cycle Routes • CCTVs • Highway maintenance • Laybys and footway extension• Tree removal & planting and landscaping• Land acquisition (purchasing or under Highway Improvement Line)• Property demolition.
