Last Call Analytics is a powerful sales data analytics and visualization platform that empowers frontline sales teams and managers to identify opportunities, forecast to improve sales and profitability. The platform has become a key tool for retail operations teams delivered as a web dashboard and mobile app.As the Chief Technology Officer of Last Call Analytics I was honoured to lead the software and systems development team providing the amazing Last Call Analytics toolset to customers. I oversaw a multi-disciplined team of talented technology professionals; and personally focused on systems architecture, data analytics modelling, forecasting, CI/CD and performance. I worked every day building a best in class analytics platform for the Beverage Alcohol and Cannabis industries.Last Call Analytics is part of Ample Organics - an Akerna company, a leading B2B cannabis technology provider. Built for Canada’s comprehensive regulations, our seed-to-sale cannabis tracking software helps 70 percent of the country’s licensed producers track, manage, and report every stage of their growth, production, and sales processes. Always evolving, Ample Organics continues to release new products that provide reliable solutions for cannabis businesses.

David oversaw a customer-focused team of database, systems and user experience specialists that integrated diverse information sources through data transformation, quality control, prediction, anomaly detection and processing into business-intelligence solutions in Energy, Fleet Management and Marketing. Working closely with business intelligence specialists and subject matter experts, custom solutions are tailored to unique client requirements. All user experiences are bespoke and employ specific use-cases using state-of-the-art front-end techniques in web browsers and mobile devices.

David oversaw a customer-focused team of database and systems specialists that integrated diverse information sources through data transformation, quality control, error correction and processing into business-intelligence solutions in Energy, Fleet Management and Marketing. Working closely with business intelligence specialists and subject matter experts, custom solutions are tailored to unique client requirements and back-end systems.All clients benefited from an end-to-end security focus, state-of-the-art web services architectures, and scalable information storage services through clustered and distributed databases. Extensive ETL pipelines, API frameworks and queueing were employed to allow for high throughput.

By providing superior quality and responsiveness to a growing client-base, David was able to expand his skill set and sub-contract to a growing set of technology professionals. Projects included consumer marketing, communications, business process automation, automated reporting, analytics, ecommerce and content management throughout North America. In many cases large scale database and reporting architectures were developed to support a wide range of audiences.

Responsible for developing a wide range of web services designed for small- to medium-sized businesses using to provide subscription management, accounts receivable, event planning, and web hosting. Duties included support of these applications and feature development.
