I am a Systems Engineer and technology enthusiast with a strong passion for learning new concepts and skills. I am a natural problem-solver with an analytical mindset and often find myself asking the question, "why?" It was this same joy for learning and curious nature that led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology with a focus in Computational Neuroscience - to understand how the human brain works. While I had originally planned a career in medicine, in 2018 I began to explore other passions and discovered that software and technology truly brought me joy. It was at that point I made the decision to change careers. Over the past two years I have been working on this career change and am enjoying every step of the process. I have developed programming skills in Java and Python, scripting skills in PowerShell, and learned SQL database design and manipulation. In addition to my formal education, I have acquired technical and hands-on experience with x86 Industry Standard Servers and hardware, Operating Systems (including Windows Server 2008 through 2019), virtualization technology, and physical and logical network configuration and troubleshooting. In my free time I enjoy working with enterprise-grade hardware and have been building a home-lab environment for practice/testing purposes. I currently have two physical servers setup with multiple virtual machines on each. I am interested in expanding my programming skills and developing software for large-scale environments with decisions driven by big data and analytics.
Listed skills include Laboratory Skills, Computer Hardware, Matlab, Java, and 13 others.
