¤ Responsible for overall strategy for the area to ensure brand visibility, growth of key accounts, competitive analysis to achieve defined sales targets ¤ Led a team of 8 in execution of the strategy in the area. ¤ Led partner management in implementation of the overall distribution strategy to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area through engagement of 36 distribution partners.

This is a 18 month Vodafone based leadership program aimed at exposing selected candidates (trainees) to a 360° view of all operations for 18 months in preparation for market based leadership. ¤ Rotation program across teams including customer service, financial services, Technology strategy, Corporate Strategy and Retail. ¤ Assigned process improvement tasks to analyze and recommend to management lapses in retail department. Outcomes included reduction of after sales SLA from 10 to 5 days, installation of 4G LTE in Eastern Kenya and automation of corporate strategy scorecard.

Duties Prepared scheduled and general project administrative, financial and grants budgets and financial reports thereof and submit to funders within set deadlines. Setting up a financial system to enhance accountability and transparency. Ensure efficient and economical procurement of all supplies and manage their storage, issuance and use; ensure that all relevant documentation is properly and securely filed  Provide analysis and review in the preparation and revision of new grant proposal budgets (ensuring all costs are well estimated and provided for) making very frequent field visits to the project areas and communicating directly with field teams and beneficiaries Coach and develop the capacity of local staff regarding financial management, reviewing expenses and demonstrating the benefits of transparent reports.Accomplishments Prepared budgets worth $606174.12(Action aid) and $768877.80(Plan Malawi) for a partnership with Ujamaa that was successfully passed. Sourced for 16 motorbikes from Yamaha dealers in Malawi. Able to source for 3 offices spaces in some very remote areas in Malawi that Ujamaa Pamodzi will work in. Worked within very interior parts of Malawi in Nsanje, Nkhotakhota, Machinga and Mangochi districts in partnership with Plan Malawi and Action aid under the Unicef Safe School Program.

Ujamaa Africa/ No Means No Worldwide is a non government organization that works in all the five major informal settlements of Nairobi. This include Kibera, Korogocho, Dandora, Mukuru kwa Njenga, and Mathare/ Huruma. Their work is centered on rape prevention, micro-loans to people living in these settlements through community banking and gender based violence loans for women going through assault.My main responsibilities included:• Receiving data, serializing and sorting it out to keep track of data from the field.• Data entry- Entering data received from the field to the central database.• Identifiers- Identifying and matching questionnaires from the same respondent at various levels of the No Means No classes’ studies.• Running analysis on the data entered to watch out for different trends and verifying accuracy of data entered.• Recording data done in focus groups in the field when testing the effectiveness of the questions used in the different surveys.• Assisting in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient record management system. • Performing general clerical duties such as photocopying and printing.• Contributing to a team effort and accomplishing related results as required.• Performing other job related duties as assigned.Achievements• Part of the team that published two peer reviewed publications in the Journal of Adolescent Health and Paediatrics Journal surrounding reduction of rape through teaching girls self defense skills. • Gained data entry skills in Scientific Package for Social Sciences software (SPSS).• Started an ongoing study on giving loans to gender based violence victims in korogocho slums, Nairobi targeting 80 women with small businesses.• Worked in hardship areas in informal settlements around Nairobi including Kibera, Mathare, Mukuru, Dandora, and Korogocho
