I provide solution support, development and enhancement utilizing Infor XA ERP software and related utilities to improve your business processes and increase your efficiencies and profitability. I also provide business and technical training in how to utilize your ERP software to improve your business processes and increase profitability. A part of this is also by providing project management to help assure ERP projects to achieve a successful goal within the desired cost and time frame.I have also recently been very active in assisting companies with ad-hoc "help desk" functions due to a variety of consolidations, down-sizing, and staff changes. This involves system, application, and operational support across all the various business functions (accounting, operations, auditing, upgrades), allowing the companies to continue operating effectively.Recently, I have designed, developed and installed a comprehensive enhancement to the standard Infor XA pick/pack/ship solution. This is now in use at multiple companies, and the enhancement allows the companies to tailor their picking process to increase their efficiency, and expands on the base capabilities of the XA solution.

I provided implementation and upgrade assistance for companies upgrading their current ERP systems. I also provided IT technical assistance for hardware and user interface, and performed Project Management to assure that project targets and goals are met within agreed cost parameters. One major project was to upgrade a company from an early and out-of-date version of Infor's ERP XA (formerly known as MAPICS), to the (then) current version R7.8. This included upgrading their data collection software and hardware, migrating their R6 Browser enhancements to R7.8's IDF platform, and evaluating/migrating several thousand "add-on" internal enhancement programs.I also designed a custom manufacturing tracking system for a custom steel producer that wanted to improve their inventory accuracy and plant order processing flow - a very interesting project.I subcontracted out with other IT firms as requested and as time allowed, and assisted a number of small start up companies in establishing their required technology infrastructure base, including network installation, PC setup and software loading and configuration.

I provided consulting services for business and systems analysis, as well as project management of a varied team of developers. I performed detailed business process reviews, and suggested and designed changes in processes to improve efficiencies and profitability. In my project management role, I maintained careful review of my assigned projects to assure they remained on time within the budgeted/projected time frame, and provided the anticipated project results.For the first nine months at Link, I was a mid-range account manager, servicing a variety of accounts. During that time, I added forty new accounts for the company.

I had two job titles at Fleetwood Folding Trailers - IT Manager and Special Projects Leader. As IT Manager, I was responsible for all the technology utilized in the corporation, and the direction of that technology. As Special Projects Leader, I was responsible for improving the overall productivity and profitability of the corporation, focusing mostly on indirect (non-production) tasks. Besides achieving Class A MRPII status (World Class ERP), my most notable achievement was being able to hold clerical and management growth to about 10% during a decade where the company grew over 300%. From 1990 through 2001, our sales grew from about $30 million (with unit sales of 9,725 units) to sales of $125 million (with unit sales of 22,800 units). During that time, factory production employment grew from 232 associates to 565 associates. However, during the same period, our indirect (clerical and professional) only grew from 96 to 105 associates, and most of those were in Engineering.In addition, in 2004, I was selected for the MAPICS Hall of Fame award for World Class excellence for my eBusiness initiative. The project allowed for a consistent 80% of our orders to be placed via the web, and allowed for increased customer service levels and reduction in clerical (non-value add) staffing.As an aside, I also was the Payroll Manager for 8 years, during which time I automated the payroll and data collection processes to allow reduction of clerical support staff from 11 to 2. I also successfully converted us from an in-house Corporate payroll system to utilizing ADP for a significant cost savings while offering more options to our employees.
