-Manage all coordination of disaster response in regards to ESF6 and ESF8 (Mass Care and Health and Public Health and Medical Services)-Create and manage the Family Assistance Center program for Mecklenburg County.-Manage Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)volunteers and become a Certified CERT Trainer within one year of employment.-Participate in the activities associated with all emergency management functions, including planning, training, exercising, responding, and recovery.-Perform other emergency management program activities as directed by the Emergency Management Planning Coordinator and assist other emergency management planners with projects and special assignments.-Provide support as directed for the day-to-day activities associated with the emergency management program, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) readiness and activations, natural disaster response, and homeland security issues.

-Fosters cooperation between the MHPC and internal and external agencies involved in disaster preparedness and response.-Manages several complex initiatives in collaboration with the Coalition stakeholders.-Functions as the point of contact for the deployment of disaster equipment and supplies.-Develops, maintains, and analyzes regional disaster planning data.-Assists in the maintenance of the Regional Response Plan.-Assists in the preparation of monthly disaster grant expenditure reports being submitted to the state.-Operates as the MHPC SMAT Team Leader during disasters.-Assists in the development and coordination of the regional State Medical Assistance Team.-Ensures proper fleet maintenance programs for all assets and vehicles.-Operates vehicles in all types of weather.-Maintains disaster response equipment and vehicles in a deployment readiness state.-Maintains assets in the inventory system according to policy.-Maintains a safe and secure environment.-Develops, edits, organizes, formats, and distributes training materials/courses and other required correspondence as needed.-Instituted a new measure of tracking inventory orders and checking them in ensure financial accuracy for reporting to the federal government.

-Responsible for the preparedness, upkeep, and readiness of MED-1.-Main responsibilities involve building out the inventory management system as the team transitions from a legacy system to a new system.-Obtained over $50,000 of grant money in the 2020 fiscal year.-When deployed on disasters has the responsibility for a given area of the command structure on scene.-Helping develop a training program for our new inventory system so that all individuals on the team can be proficient with it.

-Respond to 911 calls and provide ALS care.-Transport sick and injured patients to the appropriate facility.-On fire scenes work in a team environment to mitigate the emergency while saving lives and protecting property.-Assist new paramedics in becoming proficient in taking care of patients through field training.

-Respond to emergencies in the assigned station's area as dispatched. -Keep up with mandated training as required. -Help with public outreach when requested.

-Respond to 911 medical calls on campus as requested by USCPD dispatch. -Assist the student health center in keeping the facility secure overnight. -Assist in CPR training when requested.
