In charge of Project Controls Department (planning, costs, reporting, document control and contract administration) for a greenfield cooper, gold and other metals open pit mine, production plant and off-site and in-site facilities and infrastructure. Working on behalf of the owner in an integrated team, to manage EPCM, EPC and General contractors and consultants. The project is transitioning stage from FS to Execution phase with a CAPEX of 300 musd during a 30 months timeline to start production.

Toamasina, Atsinanana, Madagascar

Conceptual planning up to project authorization, including preliminary construction works for an EPCM contract with Ambatovy Minerals to implement “Ore Slurry Pipeline Replacement” brownfield project to replace 75 km x 24” pipeline in an existing major industrial operation of nickel and cobalt, during a multi-year replacement campaign. CAPEX 350 musd Scope: earthworks, roads access upgrade, valve station upgrade and pipeline replacement in critical sections. Including temporary camps and facilities to allocate own and contractor personnel, equipment and material required for the execution phase of the project.- Prepare and collaborative review SoW for main packages.- Planning and Cost Control Procedures development.- Prepare and follow up Project Master Schedule (PMS) according with owner operational yearly shut down needs and strategy.- Prepare multi-level schedules for different project stages and shareholders’ approval.- Prepare and follow up subsidiary schedules and project performance KPIs.- Review and validate contractor monthly progress and invoices.- Contract management support.

Project Cayambe: greenfield project to implement a dry process plant to produce ultra-fine calcium carbonate, with 120.000 TMPY capacity and CAPEX investment of 12 MUSD. Scope: earthworks, roads, platforms, primary crushing, milling and coating, storage silos, packaging, administrative, process and warehouse buildings, workshops, medium voltage substation, mechanical, electrical, automation erection and process plant commissioning. - Local responsible for permits, design, procurement, execution and commissioning of the new plant, allowing a smooth transition from existing operation to the new plant.- Develop SoW packages for bidding and contractual processes.- Detailed engineering coordinator, contract management and on-site supervision.- Responsible legal permits required by the project construction.- Project control, schedule follow up, cost and reporting to the project board. MM3 Project: EPCM to implement a new line of calcium carbonate production for fines and treated products. 1.8 MUSD investment.- Detail engineering coordinator, work packages specification development and site supervision overseeing construction and erection contractors for the new lines.Solar plants: technical specification and pre-contractual documents development to implement solar facilities of Omya group in LaTam
