As Senior Graphic Designer at Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) I've worked on projects that are as varied as the ports of call on our itineraries.Many campaigns are high-profile and customer-facing such as Direct Mail postcards, bifolds and trifolds whose print-runs number in the millions and reach households internationally; while other projects are confidential, internal and seen only by management.Some projects take months to complete such as the Fleet Guide which details each itinerary offered by Norwegian Cruise Line. For this colorful brochure I created deck plans, route maps and vetted destination and lifestyle photography to complement select itineraries. Other projects such as web banners, landing pages and email templates are completed faster and take into account the user experience on mobile devices.Some projects are teaching tools: I created an animated presentation for our Travel Partners to more efficiently sell cruises to multi-generation families. Other presentations were given by departmental heads to report everything from new menu items to new ports to new fleet enhancements. A presentation I created was used by NCL's CEO at Seatrade Global to discuss destinations and itinerary planning while another was used by him to announce Norwegian Joy—a new ship custom-built for the Chinese market.Whether my design is seen on board, at the port, online or on TV, all are compliant with Norwegian’s brand guidelines. And whether it's Food and Beverage, Casino, Shore Excursions, Onboard Revenue, Trade or any other department, I ensure that the deliverable meets the marketing objective and surpasses the expectations outlined by the business owner in the creative brief.
