Hi, I'm Doug Goodale, an engineer with a passion for coding and problem-solving. I have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University, graduating with Honours. My professional path began in the mining sector, where I honed my engineering skills as a graduate engineer and later as a mechanical engineer. Following this, I took some time off travelling around North America, where I explored jobs of a more physical nature, rather than intellectual. It was during this time that I decided to teach myself how to code, having made multiple friends who worked in the industry. In doing so I discovered a newfound passion for software development. Transitioning into the tech world, I started as a junior developer at a startup and steadily ascended to the role of lead developer for the small team.My skill set spans the entire software development lifecycle, from frontend, backend and mobile development to database management and cloud infrastructure. I am proficient in project management, and excel in team leadership roles.
