Monitor and manage environment and appliances, including routers, firewalls, switches, VPN appliance, wireless network, PBO/VoIP systems, and digital signage solution.• Triage, troubleshoot, resolve, and root cause analysis for LAN/WAN problems (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, VPN, Trace Routes, etc.).Provide support for onsite and remote users, including the following:• Active Directory (AD) – User account administration (add/change/delete/permissions)• Desktop and server support• Anti-Virus• Resolve help desk ticketsServer Maintenance, including the following:• General server maintenance• Patch Management• Manage storage appliances including Windows file servers and a NetApp appliance• Maintain wiring closet / patch panels configuration and integrity• Keep current with backup technologies. Coordinates the successful regular backup of the production servers and storage environment.• Contribute to meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget, and adhering to relevant standards. • Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement emerging IT trends, developments and improvements/solutions (buy/build/reuse). • Support the development, documentation, communication and execution of a comprehensive strategy, policies and solutions. • Install and troubleshoot any necessary upgrades, enhancements or fixes to the LAN system hardware and software system.• Network documentation and procedures – create and maintain network Visio drawings to spec and documented procedures.• Provide “hands on” technical support to all users on network and associated resources.• Defines and communicates security procedures.• Assist in the day-to-day leadership and direction of the IT team; provide a level of escalation for complex technical concerns, coverage for labor short-falls, pager duty and assist more junior members of the team in the application of their work.
