This role holds the portfolios for IT Applications, PMO and Business Partnerships. Team members include SAP support, IT developers, and business analysts/project managers. The business relationships/business partnership role presents an immense opportunity to interface both with corporate and local business functions, act as key member of steering committees and getting the opportunity and challenge to be a key interface to IT for the business.

Joined the Magna Closures team to lead the implementation a build-to-broadcast and MES system at two new start-up plants performing SPD with Chrysler (Windsor, Shelby). Was the principal designer of the MES-PLC interface specification. Key responsibility included vendor selection, project management, system setup & commissioning. Developed VB.NET applications to upload data into ERP system for inventory and shipment management. Created website for managing broadcast status.In 2007, took on role as project manager for major ERP conversion at our Concord plant. Orignal ERP was Glovia and was converted to Solarsoft (iVP AS/400 platform). Worked closely with plant team as well as IT team to perform the conversion. Developed a very successful set of scripts ("macrobatics") to facilitate data entry from MS-Excel into the AS/400 screens (saved time, $$ & major increase in accuracy). Had to run both ERP systems in parallel for a few months - launch was successful, no line disruptions or missed shipments. Post launch, continued to support the plant team with training, implementation of additional processes and tools.

Consultant role where I designed & developed manufacturing IT solutions. Automated data collection and MES systems. Completed a major ILVS system integration project (ERP-MES-PLC) with Magna Material flow analysis, industrial engineering support projects.

Automotive electronics manufacturing. Manufacturing engineering role in the Surface Mount Devices (SMD) assembly area. Responsibilities included equipment and maintenance support, manufacturing lead support. Lead designer/developer for a KANBAN parts re-ordering system between shop floor and 3rd party warehouse. Designed / developed several engineering/BOM utilities in VB6 as well as a number of MS-Access databases that provided operation support tools such as business reporting.
