Hi all. I am currently volunteering in Ukraine helping to rebuild lives and communities devastated by Russian’s invasion of Ukraine. Below is an overview of my consulting work:For more than 25 years, I have worked to drive the growth of organizations working for a more just and equitable world through scaling programs, developing new products and services, and launching new revenue generating operations within nonprofit organizations. In that time, what I have learned is that if we are to achieve real outcomes and positive social change in our communities, we must end the culture of scarcity that has plagued the sector for decades. Leaders need to challenge the myth that social sector organizations are not sustainable, and that their business models are fundamentally broken. These beliefs are not reality. Social sector organizations can be profitable and they can be sustainable all while delivering real impact.But both funders and nonprofit leaders need to end the dysfunctional funding practices that are starving nonprofit organizations, frustrating funders and preventing scale.
