As the Director of Strategic Assessment at New York University, I founded and led the Data Analytics and Business Strategy team. Responsible for business strategy and development, long-range planning and business model implementation for EGBS, a software firm specializing in creating Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions with configurable business logic modules for the Entertainment, Advertising and Sports Industries. The core product was branded as the Spectrum Technology Suite, which consisted of a backend DAM solution integrated with interactive video review/approval software. • Successfully led company from transition to established firm from entrepreneurial start-up. • Grew the company to 30 employees and established 3 offices around the United States. • Transformed company from an organic management structure to a more formalized matrix hierarchy and appointed division heads to oversee various departments (R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Sales etc). • Successfully completed an equity raise for $3 Million USD and negotiated bridge financing between equity rounds for $1 Million USD. • Successfully negotiated two joint venture deals with Entertainment companies: First Look Media (division of ScreenGems) and Avatar Media. • Created a product development relationship with Syracuse University • Directly responsible for all hiring and firing decisions and created guideline book for employees to use when interviewing potential candidates. • Developed overall marketing and sales vision using direct mail, telemarketing and onsite demonstration visits. • Used engineering and software knowledge to increase productivity of internal team and deliver product ahead of schedule. • Evaluated, reviewed and decided on various technologies systems to be used in the EGBS product • Kept annual employee turnover at less than 10%.
