PresidentSierra Online Jun 1998 - Jun 2001UsAs President of Sierra On-Line and a member of the Operating Committee of Vivendi-Universal Games, I was responsible for the direction of software development, marketing and publishing of one of the broadest ranges of consumer software in the industry. Sierra game products during this time included Half-Life, NASCAR Racing 3 and 4, the Hoyle Casino and Card lines as well as hundreds of other titles in the action, strategy, family and sports genres. The company also developed home productivity software including Print Artist, Generations, and the Hallmark Card Studio line. I was a key player in the $800 million sale of the company to Havas (a division of Vivendi, now Vivendi-Universal) and later in the integration of the games unit into the Paris-based parent company. Additionally, I served as a board member of the IDSA, the leading trade group for the interactive software industry and sponsor of the yearly E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) conference. -

Next, I led the team that developed the 'Sizzle' software environment, the centerpiece of the Company's early OEM and CD-ROM products.
