About Dylan Schmitz
As a co-founder and CTO of Vimotis, I’m passionate about advancing wearable technology to unlock new insights into human movement. My work focuses on developing noninvasive sensors that provide real-time data on muscle-tendon forces, bridging the gap between research-grade biomechanics tools and everyday fitness tracking. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I specialize in biomechanics and sensor technology. My goal is to revolutionize how researchers and athletes optimize performance, prevent injuries, and study human motion.
Listed skills include Mathcad, Matlab, Labview, Research, and 1 others.

Co-Founder, Cto
CurrentAt Vimotis, we understand the importance of accurate and noninvasive measurements when it comes to understanding the human body's intricate movements. Our Shear Wave Tensiometer is the first of its kind, allowing researchers in biomechanics labs to directly measure tendon forces with unparalleled precision and reliability. Our state-of-the-art technology provides real-time, tangible data, empowering researchers to delve deeper into the mechanics of the human body.

Ph.D. Candidate, Graduate Research Fellow
Wearable robotic systems that assist human movement (i.e. exosuits and exoskeletons) have the potential to enhance rehabilitation, compensate for physical disabilities, and augment function. My work seeks to address limitations in current exosuit assessments and control strategies by evaluating muscle-tendon forces in real time with Shear Wave Tensiometry. This will provide the first direct measurement of the loads that exosuits are designed to offset.
