I am a teacher, instructional designer, and librarian with a love for exploring new tech! I really took the whole "life-long learner" thing to heart at some point, because I am always reading new books or taking online courses on design, coding, art, education, and more in hopes of improving myself and becoming more capable of handling whatever comes my way... or whatever I seek out!After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Education, and Communications from the University of St. Thomas, I had a brief time as an English teacher in Japan. I then went on to be an Instructional Designer/Instructor at Fastenal, where I really started to develop my skill for web/interaction design. I then went on to work at Allen Interactions, where I eventually became an eLearning developer while pursuing my Masters in Library and Information Science from St. Catherine University. Since then, I've worked as a web developer/teacher/librarian/systems analyst at both Cotter High School and Washington County libraries. As you can see, I wear many hats!I am focused on putting my skills to use for those who want to learn. It doesn't matter if I'm teaching a regular class or helping a patron with an issue, I love working with people. To me, being "the tech guy" has never meant I have sit at a computer and bang on a keyboard all day - it means I get to share what I know with others. By helping others learn, I learn so much from them in return!When I'm not working, I like to read (big surprise there), play around in Illustrator/Blender/Unity, play board games, and most importantly - spend time with my wife and family.
