As a researcher in lithium-ion batteries, I optimised the HOESY nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy technique to study ion interactions and dynamics in ionic liquid electrolytes. This led to improved safety and capacity of the batteries. In addition, I conducted molecular interaction and dynamics research through computer modelling and published findings in high-impact journals.

I discovered Na2Sb2O6, a novel electrode material for supercapacitors with 3-dimensional layered properties using advanced characterization and electrochemical techniques. This discovery was published as a first author in the Journal of Alloys and Compounds, emphasizing the potential applications of 3-dimensional layered materials in supercapacitors.

I provided face-to-face tutorial sessions to around 120 students, enhancing their understanding of inorganic chemistry and answering their queries. Furthermore, I facilitated laboratory sessions for first-year undergraduate students to help them gain a better knowledge of inorganic chemistry. Additionally, I acted as a mentor to two undergraduate chemistry students, providing guidance throughout their honours thesis completion and defence.
