Leading Gracenote Korea (~52 employees) day-to-day business operations including sales, pre-sales, content operations, engineering, accounting/finance and HR. Managing Korea, Japan and China sales and business development for Gracenote through generating market demands and building business relationships with customers and partners. Key customers and partners include large consumer electronics makers, automotive companies, wireless carriers, mobile/internet companies and government/quasi government organizations.

Building and leading a sales team based in Seoul, Korea selling Oracle's Java technologies and embedded DB product and services into large enterprises. Key customers include consumer electronics makers and telecommunication companies like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Pantech, SK Telecom, Korea Telecom and LG U+

Selling SUN’s software products and engineering services into large OEM customers including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, and Korea Telecom as an account manager. Sales products included Java, operating systems, virtualization software, embedded database, middleware, and other embedded software.

Working on next generation product/service strategy development including social network services, commerce service and mobile payment service for Korea’s #1 wireless telecommunication service provider. The work included building WCDMA based service strategy and managing service development ranging from drafting service specifications to building partnerships to developing market launch plans.

Main focus of the job was business development of Mondex Electronic Cash and other smartcard based MasterCard products such as MULTOS and M/Chip in Korea. The work included recruiting new licensees, primarily from commercial banking and credit card sectors, identifying business opportunities, and implementing/promoting the opportunities. The work required managing and utilizing available local, regional and global resources.
