Ensures implementation of programme strategies; Ensures effective management of the CO programme within the thematic/sectoral areas assigned focusing on quality control from formulation to implementation of the country programme; Ensures creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilisation strategy in cooperation with the Management Support and Business Development Team; and Ensures provision of top quality advisory services and facilitation of knowledge building and management.

•Ensures permanent liaison between UNICEF, MoLSA, Child Welfare Commission(CWC) (12 Ministries) (GoI), Child Protection and Promotion Committee (CRPPC) (Krg) and the national Child Protection Policy (NCPP) related bodies for the implementation of the NCPP Action Plan agreed to between UNICEF and MoLSA in 2011. •Ensures regular information and updates are being shared with main CP stakeholders (Knowledge Management). •Provides technical support to MoLSA and UNICEF for the implementation of the NCPP Action Plan, including drafting or supporting the development of tools and guidance notes.•Provides guidance to UNICEF, MoLSA and UN staff / partner NGOs on methods and approaches for shaping up the work of the NCPP Secretariat and Consultative Committees.•Support in the development and implementation of nationwide and inclusive consultation on NCPP – Designing strategy, development of action plan and budgeting, development of consultation tools, monitoring and evaluation, follow up, documentation and reporting.

•in collaboration with the relevant Iraqi counterparts, assist the Human Rights Advisor to plan for the activities for the current project to support the formulation of the policy and action plan;•advice and support the Policy Secretariat and Child Welfare Commission on the development of a national child protection policy. Main responsibility:•Participate, as part of a team of local and international specialists, in the design, planning and delivery of the training program to the Ethics and Human Rights Centre of the Baghdad Police College.•The Advisor will also, as part of human rights advisor team in the TAO, participate in projects and training programs to develop the policy-making capacity of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
