As an Ethnobotanist and project specialist with over 25 years of experience in the environmental sector, my key strength lies in linking people with conservation. In this regard I am passionate about facilitating positive outcomes for Indigenous people and local communities in response to national and global environmental development mandates. It is both my passion and my vocation to add significant value to the lives of others as both an environmental practitioner and a humanitarian. I have also sought to empower myself in climate systems analysis and adaptation to the effects of climate change because this is the most significant challenge humanity faces on earth. I thrive on devising innovative solutions to facilitate positive dialogue amongst diverse stakeholders. My approach to community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement includes participatory planning, capacity building, development of learning tools, knowledge sharing, co-governance as well as innovative approaches to planning and managing project outcomes. I bring a wealth of experience in both technical project management and creative capacity building and communication strategies.
