IndusGuard founded in 2009, was an ambitious venture of Indusface Consulting company which was formed with a vision of securing Enterprise Web Applications, from cyber-attacks, by providing them with a comprehensive application security solution. Since its inception, IndusGuard focused on providing organisations with 360 degrees view of their application security posture, discover their existing and potential vulnerabilities and help them in fixing these vulnerabilities to achieve continuous security.IndusGuard was acquired by Trend Micro in 2013 and by then it had grown from a venture with no product, no external funding and no employees to an innovative, visionary, fast growing information security venture with:• 40 employees in India and Middle East.• More than 500 customers in India and Middle East using the product to secure hundreds ofmission critical Web Applications in every vertical from banking, healthcare, IT, media,manufacturing etc.• An award-winning SaaS product with an engine which was recognized for its speed and non-intrusiveness when scanning mission critical web applications for vulnerabilities.• Several million dollars in SaaS revenue through two offerings IndusGuard Standard and Premium. Delivering the service through cloud allowed gross margins of over 70% to invest back in research.• No outside capital ever raised.• Recognition by Gartner as a Niche player in its Magic Quadrant for Application SecurityTesting in 2013.

Third Brigade specialized in server and application protection for dynamic datacenters. It’s advanced software and vulnerability response service allowed virtual machines and physical servers to become self-defending; safe from the latest online threats. This comprehensive, proven protection helped customers prevent data breaches and business disruptions.As a member of the management team since the beginning of company till its acquisition by Trend Micro in 2009, I held various leaderships roles and was pivotal in the growth and success of Third Brigade from a company with no funding and no product to having a world class product, exponentially growing revenue stream with sales through direct and indirect channels, brand name customers worldwide and 100% sales growth every 6 months and a successful acquisition by security giant Trend Micro.Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the executive team and Board of Directors, I provided significant contributions to all aspects of Third Brigade operations including business development, market analysis and strategy, financing rounds, customer interactions, licensing negotiations, IP protection, team building, and product development and packaging.

Directed a staff of 26 with an expense budget of $4 Million and revenue of over $15M to drive the Professional Services business for customers in US and Asia-Pacific for this world-wide public company that is a leader in securing digital identities and information• Managed team of Senior Software Architects and System Integrators and handled all aspects of budgeting, training, hiring and coaching for departments that coordinated all product responsibilities from pre-sales through successful delivery and deployment.• Responsible for providing technical architectural and Systems Integration resources for Professional Services.• Responsible for understanding current product capabilities and long-term product vision and being able to articulate that to customers.• Responsible for developing and maintaining standard architectures for all major products and ensuring that sales, Product Management, R&D, and Product Marketing are appropriately trained in the architectures.• Provided strategic consulting with senior executives on Information Security and compliance score improvement.

Working as senior development manager in Entrust I led various product development teams and managed several projects delivering enhanced Internet security capabilities built on identification, entitlements, verification, privacy, and security management. This was during a time period where company revenue grew from $8 M to $150 M. Company product line was noted for product excellence and innovation through numerous awards such as Network Magazine “Product of the Year Award” in May 2001.
