I have finished Certificate III in Pathology Collector course. I can be responsible for collection of specimens and taking ECG and HOLTER MONITER with future opportunities to attend to advanced skills in the area of intravenous cannulation including:• Collection of blood and other samples from patients• Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens• Performing blood collection with minimal discomfort to the patient• Ability to work alone and can participate in weekend and rotating roster as well as out of hour's roster.• Use the daily treatment summary or patient management software to identify tests requested• Maintaining the blood collection rooms ensuring they are clean, tidy and restocked• Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner• Good computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner• Exceptional time management skills• Sound clinical knowledge• Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team referring Doctors, patients and other stakeholders• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe & healthy workplace.• I have my own vehicle, full driving license and can work on rotational shifts.
